hi jane, I do blog frequently ok! quite frequent? haha.

So, yesh. Where was I? I went for a few more rides after I got my license hahaha. My dad seemed more excited that I got my license than me -.-" I still find the roads unfamiliar, and probably still can't confidently drive to any place other than choa chu kang area. JB roads are so dark, but I can drive till 120 there muahaha. Yup, just trying my best to gain experience on the road! Also learning how to strike a balance between playing safe and achieving laojiao standard.

I extended my work till June -.-" because of 3days paid leave + less hassle in job hopping + insignificant difference in temp office hour job experience + chance of getting a job that has lower pay + it's only 2 more months anyway.. So I should have about 1month to party/nua/activate quirky ideas before orientation starts! hehehehe. Oh wait, I don't even know if I will have an orientation to go to.

Ever since I plucked up the courage to ask for more things to learn during work, I've been getting more saigang. More and more useless, meaningless tasks like filing level 2, re-labelling, filtering the list for access rights etc. Tsk man, tsk. tan soon keng la. Just a tsk initial that came into my mind at this moment. Nowadays I spend more time reading news online and acting busy than ever, because I have declared my availability to my colleagues, so I have the rights to enjoy a little before I get the arrows right? Hahaha. Nothing much to "enjoy" also, since I only read the news that I am interested to read.

Celebrated clar ben kun defa's birthday in one day! Yummy oreo cheesecake by tf kun and friends. Baking is something that I feel very distant to.. Maybe I'll try next time when I have some noob but interested kakis to try with me! :)

Then we discussed out Taiwan itinerary together for the first time haha. Actually it has been discussed by some of our bros who are more familiar with Taiwan, for some reason, maybe during army excursion or something. So we were only there to hear the finalised plans and to come out with a list of items to bring. Amazed at the planning, thumbs up! *jian leveled up! Next time can try planning something le!

Some people just know how to organise better than others. Some just wait for things to happen, as usual. Some voice out thoughts that are pointless, eg: so how are we going to do this?, which obviously is the question in everyone's minds. Some just don't want to take any step. Kinda irks me, seriously. Celebrated qiang's birthday in advance cos I'll be flying by then. Sigh, I think my family should not go for buffet haha. Buffet is not for us. It's for those secondary school kids who still got PE lessons to burn their fats!

So, that was a happy chinese new year everybody. Not really. This year was pretty boring. Instead of the usual hey-yo-army?-studying?-working?-where?-girlfriend?-very tall hor the 3 of you, no one bothered to interact with us! Awkward. We couldn't be bothered to initiate conversations too. So we just ate, received angbaos, watch tv, left.

CNY eve was boring as well. I think it's because of my bloated stomach which caused me to lose appetite. Grew very big leh haha.






The biggest shrooms I've ever seen, next to swusan. Again I don't know whether it's my stomach or the mushroom. So filling!











Spent the last of 初二 watching IP man 2 on tv. Screwed up mediacorp went to censor some of the important fighting scenes, like the rapid and relentless punches on the angmoh at the end. What the hell, next time go broadcast some teletubbies show better la, healthier for kids -.-

snooze 1.5hrs, smack myself on the butt to run, took a detour when it should only have been one stop, realised that 28th is an invalid day, powerful de-stress activity, laugh non-stop. Got so hot and tired hahaha :D

First time driving inside the circuit. Wa scary. So many things to look out for. Mount kerb-fail. Inability to stop at white line-fail. Bang car-fail. Look into the mirror and get surprised by the awesome guy looking back at me-fail. Not to forget the demerit points! Hope I can pass it in just one try!

Just on the night before my flight, I decided to pen down my thoughts and feelings for the past 2 weeks. If not, I might just forget this awesome period. Yea, quite fun.

3days in camp week. Thought I earned a free off, but the tradeoff was to be company IC. It really doesn't pay to owe others favours. Being the company IC wasn't really that bad. But still, I have the responsibility of ensuring the attendance of soldiers. Basically, company IC is the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong.

"How long do you need to report strength?" - ask them?! not me!? now it's my fault for not rushing them
"Why is HQ platoon so slow?" -ask them!?!?!?!?!?

Yea, retarded system. Guy X does something wrong, guy Y takes the blame, Guy Z gets punished.

But to do this, you need a group of friends who are free, willing to spend, and willing to spend with u. That's the only thing that is holding me back from koping all the coupons.

Another 3days in camp. Good life ah, relacjack! LOL Relacjack!? wtf is relacjack?! Jingx came up with an explanation for this term by our CSM.

On tuesday, there was a company cohesion. Each platoon got 2 steamboats. Ok, the food not very nice, but the beer and the drinking games are 赞! Introducing beepbobeepbo and some standing game from the running man. Ah, I love these games cos I find myself having a hard time to lose everytime! But I dun mind losing and doing forfeits.

After the cohesion, some of them wanted to have a slumber party at section 1. I went over for a while, but decided to go back and sleep properly. Why such a wet blanket? Thanks to the cold weather these days, my nose was utterly blocked. It's like in the pokemon game, you ride a bike down lavender town and you can't cross the junction because you are blocked by snorlax and you don't have a pokeflute. You can also see it as appearing inside a room, with dozens of hot pretty girls, that has no door. Yes, you've got it. It is frustrating and suffocating.

While the city of townsville is under the motivation of uni socialisation and ord, there have been reports of mojojojo attacks. Looks like uni life is going to be stressful. Is it still worth looking forward to it? Somehow, I think my perception of uni could be twisted towards the optimist's side.

Ok the chat was quite difficult but still, not too bad, sensitive topics that we wouldn't usually share. Music was very loud, but can't dance cos the atmosphere just wasn't there. Garrr. Holding on to jianyu's promise of going to club after ord.

I felt very out of place. I was wearing a t-shirt and looked very under-dressed. Everyone else who was not in our group was smoking. Some people were very high, for some reason, while I was there, looking around, trying to get used to the surroundings and busying with leveling up my situational awareness.

I have been wondering what is my limit for alcohol. So that day, I just spammed the drinks. Around 8 cups with mixers, and a few random pure shots from the bottle. Siao. Once the effect kicked in, I was a goner. I was conscious but very very very dizzy. I even vomited twice in the toilet. That's how horrible it was. So I'm guessing, my limit should be around 4-5cups. And seriously, I prefer sweet drinks. Come thy sugar. Envelop me and fill me with.. wait, no. I need da gym n run.

Dancing was however fun! It is a very loose activity that allows you to de-stress by singing out loudly and jumping/shaking around. We got high easily and just went into the pool of people and zaaaaaaar. Actually I don't even know if that's called dancing. It was sooooo packed, 10 times worse than inside a mrt during peak hours. Everyone just went in and bua. But I do remember the champagne shower song being played and everyone was shouting along with hand gestures. Fun.

The very next day I suffered from hangover symptoms like fatigue and dizziness. But it was really fun before I couldn't take it lol. I'm such a poor drinker. $62.80 I'd rather buy a new shirt.

National Day Dinner @ Lot 1

Before clubbing was national day dinner. 9 course dinner that was quite yummy but not filling at all. It's like a 黄金年华 luh. 150 tables filled up by old uncles and aunties. There was a gift for august babies! Not bad huh? So I queued up excitedly and guess what the gift was.

4km route march with soft armour plates. At first I thought we were really lucky to not be marching with hard armour plates because they weigh a ton!! But apparently that is the case for all the companies. Then I saw Archer company marching without weapon. WTF!! How suay are we to have route march and be on standby-operation?!

Fortunately, we were the first company to book out on friday at 2pm + ^^. We got all eyes staring at us from all the other companies ah hahaha. Finally, cougar had its rest!

The idea initiated by me was dismissed and rejected without any thought into it. The same idea proposed by another guy was understood and accepted. Why? Just because I like to joke around, does that mean every time I open my mouth, I'm joking? Ever tried listening to the content of my speech before deciding if it's crap or not? Is there a need to be so judgemental? Do you need lessons on reading facial expressions to tell if someone is serious or joking? It's a completely unfair dismissal of my ideas leh, not even a moment of consideration. Not funny hor. Do you like it when everything you say gets repelled for illogical reasons? Last monday night was shiok. [seriously the experience was only 1 week ago but it felt like v v v v long ago. Hastened aging process??] My father sent me to camp with his motorbike. The wind blasting at my body was so cooling! Yea, that was not really a big deal right? 150km/hr LOL. Don't compare with aeroplanes cos u can't feel the wind when u're inside! I felt like a g6.


Just when project ppn is starting to take off, badminton interfered. ARGHHH. While I was playing with weights, some others were playing badminton in the hall! Shittttt. I missed badminton so much that I gymed for a while and joined them in 1 or 2 games.

Thereafter is a supposedly 01 outing that didn't seem like an 01 outing. XLB buffet at crystal jade! yumei swusan jane vivien huimin jasmine qingping bryan zhian kokli ghimsiang jianyu kaisheng kenneth me. Damn wasted, I put lots of pork inside my stomach instead of the cute xlbs! Should have eaten more xlbs hahaha. Oh, and my awesome table got huimin jane jasmine zhian kokli! huimin n I are prawn-ers >:) ate like 10+prawns, and I almost thought the prawn is free-flow 1 LOL! (they came from jianyu's table)
















We eat at the same time, but at 3 different tables. It's really very lame, meeting in the name of "01", eat, go home. :/ But that's not for me ha. Finally tasted haagen dazs ice cream! YEAAAAAAAAAA. To me, that was like the king of ice creams. Yum yum. I like tiramisu and raspberry!

Bryan said being a bf is like having a job, but instead of getting paid, you lose money and get bullied lol. Well affection is priceless.

First 2 days were spent sleeping in the forest and partying with tuna :p
3rd day we walked in the night, took a super detour in an attempt to surprise the enemy but got killed without even fighting in the end lol. Luckily I died, because if I were to be injured, I WOULD HAVE TO BE INJECTED. WTF RIGHT. UNACCEPTABLE MAN. MEDICS HAVING THE JURISDICTION TO USE NEEDLES AND POKE SOLDIERS. cruel...
3rd night dismount and fight in the dark again, which was pretty fun because it's the first time we're fighting soldiers who could "run" lol. Last time in our trainings, soldiers were to lie on the ground and keep firing until the enemies overrun them. It's stupid la, the army likes to assume that the enemies are retards -.-













Eat until I have tuna phobia now LOL! No joke, I can no longer stand the putrid smell of canned tuna anymore cos we spammed so many cans in the forest during field camp! Urgh..


But the worst thing that happened was after the field camp. I thought there was fresh ration for lunch so I gobbled up all the remaining food for breakfast, and STARVED so badly. I got a slight fever from evening onwards. This is called 饿坏了. I told myself I will never let myself starve until like that again. Ever.


But hey, brushing teeth during field camp was immensely satisfying! My breath felt so fresh, though everyone around me had zillions of bacteria in their mouth everyday for 4 days and they didn't care much -.- Thanks to field camp too, my hair lost its integrity. Thanks to the tuition assignments that I have, I can now be sure that I don't want to be a teacher. LOL! 1 of my tutee was late for 40mins. Yes, 40mins. Imagine my blood being boiled into gaseous state. If I were to be a teacher, I would have to face 20-40 students, and how many of them are problematic ones? No idea, but at least 1. Accountant 了 lor!

I guess I won't be reading any of harry potter books in the near future.. But I'll definitely introduce this series to kids from the younger generation.


In retrospect, I started dipping into the HP fantasy after I watched Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone by chance in pri school. So I have emma watson rupert grint daniel radcliffe and robbie coltrane to thank for all the childhood magic!

Just when I've decided to start project ppn, kokli and jingxuan are deliberating whether to take protein powder or not. Ok, it's actually a supplement, akin to drinking milk but still, I don't want any of it. If I can't get muscular even when I work out then so be it, I'm born to be lean!

One of the best nights out ever. Went to teoheng@NTU alumni club to sing! And the first group of students we saw had to be PRCs -.- the impression of ntu-prc just gets worse and worse.. But no offense lol, I just feel a bit less singaporean with prcs around. Singing never gets boring! The best song was 王妃 hehe.


Combat shoot! 35/40, close to marksmanship! I hope I shoot well next Tuesday! Like I always believed, I don't have good affinity with normal rifles. My rifles always cock up. Many IAs, not aligned blah blah. What a burden. I spent so much time cleaning it some more! But as usual, skeptics exist to doubt my marksmanship fundamentals instead of my rifle. I proved them wrong! My scores soared when I borrowed weapon from someone else. SEE. NOT ME OK. MY GUN.

I don't like soccer because I think it's rough. I prefer sports with lesser contact, like basketball or captain's ball or volleyball. Ok maybe not for basketball but basketball is safer! Like jingx said, I had bad experiences from playing soccer lol. I am super afraid of people ramming the soccer ball in front of me, for I could easily lose my Fathers' Day in the future. Brute strength *pfft

Unfortunately, soccer is still the most popular sport. Minus away soccer players, minus away those not interested in sports, minus away people who are injured and sick, no one is left to play 'safe' sports with me!


Monday guard duty was scary. Was prowling and slacking with kokli and then suddenly 1 guy walked towards us. My heart skipped 2 beats! Could have easily been dismembered by that guy. How lucky are we.. Another sleepless night Z.Z

After booking in, I was all ready for the river-crossing R4 2days1night fieldcamp..
HA! In the end no river-crossing! :))) Again, mosquitoes flooded our areas and just sucked like free. The best part was the night snack-cheese bread on the first night. Really 雪中送炭! Saved my poor stomach. So, I told myself I must have something nice this weekend.



Buffet at MOF! Wa the chocolate was too filling, and not very smooth. Overall I would say the money wasn't well spent. Could have better food with that money. Next, bbq buffet!!!!!
